This was such an interesting read! Last time you read my chart we went back and forth trying to figure out if my IC is Aries or Taurus ruled (it being at 29’59” Aries), and after reading this I have no doubt that Taurus rules over my 4th house. It blew my mind to see the correlations between the events happening in my life during every date that you provided here. The Mars/NN/Uranus conjunction is in an exact trine to my Sun in Virgo, I look forward to see what it brings into my life!. Thank you for another great astrology lesson ♥️

I'm glad you found it interesting! I remember you being devoted to journaling - which is so helpful when tracking planetary cycles. I've been buried in my albums and journals the past few days :)

I'm hesitant to complexify the situation more, but there could be a few other things to consider re: your 4th house and that precarious IC/MC axis!

If you were to apply the increasingly popular whole sign house system (which horoscope writers use as well as traditional astrologers, and myself when creating generic formulas), as a Cap rising, your 4th house would automatically be 100% Aries. The whole sign system is one house = one sign. It uses the Ascendant sign to set the pattern, but then turns the Cross of Matter degrees (Asc/Dsc, IC/MC) into floating points that land in whatever house they want to. From this perspective the IC/MC points are sensitive points, but less significant because they don't delineate the cusps of houses like they do in house systems that use the four cross of matter degrees to divide the chart into 4 quadrants.

In a quadrant based house system (like Koch or Placidus, etc.) the IC becomes the cusp of the 4th house as you know (thereby determining the ruling planet of the house), and the houses typically host "portions" of two or more signs. So even if your IC is at 29 deg Aries, planets traveling through Taurus would spend most of their time traveling through your 4th house from this perspective.

Koch, a quadrant house system, is the primary system I use because I prefer to give the cross of matter degrees the power to divide the chart, even though this approach is "messier." However, I still consider the sign on the cusp of a house (especially the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th) to have more influence in describing the energy, history, or expression of that house, which is why I wanted to ascertain the sign your IC was in (so then I would know your MC sign and its influence on your career path). But using the Koch house system, regardless of whether the IC was at 29 Aries or 0 Taurus, the upcoming Mars-Uranus-NN transit at 18' for example, would still be occurring in your 4th house.

The IC (and all the cross of matter degrees) are like live wires; so sensitive to transits. The other thing I wanted to note is that you likely experience all major planetary ingresses into Taurus *very loudly* (moreso than other people) because not only is the planet changing signs from Aries to Taurus, but the planet is crossing your IC only minutes/hours prior to the ingress - or just afterwards if your IC is at 0 Taurus! It would be the same with ingresses into Scorpio on the other end as the planet simultaneously crossed your MC. In fact, for everyone, a transit to the IC is also a transit to the MC via the opposition, so major changes at one end typically create major changes at the other.

So in terms of the static natal chart I tend to give greater descriptive influence on the sign which is on the cusp of the house (esp. 1st/4th/7th/10th), but when it comes to planets (natal and transiting), I look to see if the planets fall within the house boundaries regardless of sign (when using a quadrant system).

Ack, the houses in astrology are such a messy topic :) And my determination to continue using a quadrant house system as the primary one, means houses are particularly messy and blurry to discuss. The 4 cross of matter degrees are the parts of the chart that are incredibly sensitive to the exact "time of birth" so I think they are vital to describing the uniqueness of the individual - and thus this is why I like to give them the power to divide the chart into 4 quadrants (and why I put a lot of descriptive emphasis on the signs they land in). However, as I have watched so many astrologers switch to a whole sign house system in recent years and turn the cross of matter into floating points, I'm aware that would make the practice of interpretation much cleaner and simpler.

Anyway, hopefully that was relatively clear and offered some different angles from which to explore the 4th house domain in your chart! My apologies if I covered info you are already familiar with. With the triple conjunction making an exact earth trine to your Sun, I would imagine this will offer strong support with integrating and moving with this big energy over the next couple weeks!
