Big Bull Energy: An astronavigation guide for Taurus activations in April - May
An exploration of bull-related mythology that sheds light on less familiar facets of Taurus + reflective questions and resonant symbolic activities for each activation of Taurus in April/May 2024.
On April 15th, a friend of mine was offered a job interview at the hospital - an offer which could prove to be an important doorway of opportunity to re-establishing her career in a new country after months/years of preparation.
A couple of days later, she bet on a horse with $20 and won $1000.
A day or so after that, she was approved for a credit card that gave her a $350 gift card to spend on Apple products.
The much anticipated Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus was perfecting directly opposite her natal Moon-Pluto conjunction in Scorpio this past week.
This important global transit - which combines risk-taking impulses and the desire to individuate with promises of growth, expansion and abundance - is significant for her personally. So it’s been making itself known, in ways that are welcome!
If you have planets or points around 21 degrees (especially in the fixed signs of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius), the transit may have been (and likely continues to be) a noticeably loud transit for you as well.
Granted, Uranus and Jupiter together can be a bit of a wild roller-coaster ride. Whether you gamble or not, the transit itself may feel like rolling the die with high stakes.
Money and resource themes are at the forefront for many people under this transit in Taurus. However, I’m aware not everyone impacted by this transit will experience it as positively as my friend has. Generally speaking though, like many other astrologers, I would consider this Jupiter-Uranus conjunction to be more biased toward luck and success.
The conjunction was “exact” late on April 20, 2024 (or into April 21, depending on your time zone), but it’s slow-moving and is certainly strong for all of April with continuous activations throughout May. At the time of this publication the duo is still within a single degree of each other.
Both Aries and Taurus, with their “Big Ram Energy” and” Big Bull Energy,” are powerful and prominent throughout all of April and May - and consequently, so are the themes of the two side-by-side houses where these signs live in your birth chart.
Just because we are into Taurus Season now with the Sun traveling through the sign of the Bull since April 19th, don’t forget that Mercury still needs to retrace its steps in Aries post-retrograde, Venus is in Aries until April 29th, and Mars will enter Aries, its home domain, on April 30th.
You can skim to the second half of my previous post on Big Ram Energy to read more about these final Aries activations, which are happening simultaneously with significant Taurus transits.
As I’ve mentioned, April is the most astrologically hyped month of 2024.
Following this, for the most part, the major transits of May are basically an echo of April's big astrology.
In May, April’s astrology is reactivated as the Sun and Venus conjoin with Uranus and Jupiter in Taurus, Mercury conjoins with Uranus, and Mars in Aries begins traversing the sensitive solar eclipse zone, making conjunctions with both the North Node and Chiron in Aries.
As I mentioned in my Aries-focused post, it’s interesting to me that the zodiac begins with two signs, Aries and Taurus, which are both represented by four-legged male animals - the ram and the bull.
The ram (i.e., the male “bighorn sheep”) and the bull (the male counterpart to a female cow), are both symbols of power, virility, and strength. Both animals have been, and still are, considered to be sacred by many cultural and religious traditions throughout history.
There is an entire Wikipedia page dedicated to the “Sacred Bull,” which tells of repeated bull-worship, bull-reverence, and bull-sacrifice throughout the world.
For example, the famous cave paintings at Lascaux, France, estimated to be about 20,000 years old, very clearly feature illustrations of cattle, highlighting their importance to Paleolithic people in Europe. In fact, due to these prominent paintings, the main chamber of the cave is referred to as “the Hall of the Bulls.”
Frequently in astrological publications, Taurus is depicted as a sweet, cuddly-looking cow, slowly chewing grass in a dreamy sunlit field. I’ve used such graphics for Taurus myself in past posts related to this sign.
And honestly this aligns with how I typically encounter (or think I’m encountering) Taurus-type energy in other people. Folks that carry a strong Taurus emphasis in their birth chart tend to give off vibes that are grounded, peaceful, content, and easy-going. This impression correlates with a sign that has an affinity with the body, sensuous pleasure, nature, and beauty.
Below is the elemental collage I created for the fixed earth sign of Taurus last year. It’s one of my favourite collages to use as a desktop background because I find the images so soothing.
Soothing, peaceful… don’t you agree?
And yet perhaps these idyllic scenes are missing a significant piece of the Taurus story and experience.
Yes cattle can look like this - dehorned and domesticated, peaceful and placid:
But also like this:
And this:
It is very clear that both the constellation and the sign of Taurus, which is Latin for “bull,” are represented by a bull with horns.
There is the shape of the constellation itself (one of the oldest constellations, supposedly dating back to at least the Early Bronze Age), which can be located in the sky by looking for its obvious large horns…
Then there is the glyph for the sign of Taurus, which is recognizable precisely because there are horns featured on top of the circle (the bull’s head)…
So is Taurus the bull, chill or ferocious?
A cuddly cow meandering slowly through the pasture chewing grass?
Or an intimidating bull with horns, running down a perceived threat and destroying everything in its path, as described in Sumerian and Greek myths?
Apparently, on average, 22 people in the US are killed by cattle every year (source, source).
In 2015, The Independent claimed that cows were officially the most deadly large animals in Britain after an agricultural committee reported that 74 people had been killed by cows in the 15 years prior.
However, in contrast, each year over 300 billion cows are killed for human consumption worldwide, and approximately 180,000 bulls are killed in bullfights every year (source, source).
Even “bulldogs” are thus named because they were bred specifically for “bull-baiting;” a cruel sport that originated in England in the 1600s and continued until 1835 when a law against animal cruelty was passed (source). Bull-baiting was a type of “bull fight” where bulldogs were pitted against bulls for entertainment.
Clearly the predator-prey dynamic between humans and bulls is heavily imbalanced, but it’s still worthwhile to note that given the association between the sign of Taurus and the bull, we may not be getting the whole picture when we focus solely on the peace-loving, sensuous Taurean type.
As is often noted, Hitler was infamously born under the sign of the bull with an exact Mars-Venus conjunction in Taurus, a configuration that can be emblematic of the expression:
“I will get what I want, consequences be damned.”
To be clear, I am not trying to reflect negatively on people born with Taurus placements. Every sign can be expressed in a multitude of ways and I so appreciate the Taurus-strong people in my life. I was born with my North Node in Taurus, and I honestly wish I had more placements in the sign of the bull!
I am, however, always concerned about getting the full picture and it’s all too easy to limit the zodiac signs by boxing them into popular stereotypes.
Perhaps Venus-ruled Taurus is not entirely, or not always, a chill sign.
The remainder of this post is divided into two main sections:
The first section explores the bull-related myths and symbolism connected to the sign of Taurus.
The second section addresses each of the major activations happening in the sign of Taurus throughout April and May, with accompanying suggestions for how to work with the energy.

How do you relate to the mythology of Taurus and Big Bull Energy?
Deepening your understanding of the myths and symbolism surrounding Taurus may help you further explore your relationship to this sign. Through reflection on your response to these mythic stories, you may gain further insight into how you tend to respond when there is a powerful activation of Taurus energy impacting your birth chart, as there is now.
One of the earliest historical stories of a special bull whom scholars believe is directly associated with the constellation of Taurus, dates back to tablets describing the Epic of Gilgamesh. Multiple versions of this poem were recorded between 2100 BCE - 1000 BCE in what is now called Iraq; initially written in Sumerian, and later, in Standard Babylonian.
In one of the later version of the Epic, the king (and hero) Gilgamesh rejects the advances of the goddess Ishtar (formally known as Inanna). Ishtar is enraged by this rejection and begs her father Anu to give her the Bull of Heaven to attack Gilgamesh in his city of Uruk.
If her father does not comply with her wishes, Ishtar threatens that she will initiate the zombie apocalypse (i.e., she will smash down the gates of the Underworld and raise the dead to eat the living).
I’ll leave it to Wikipedia to describe what happens next…
“Anu at first objects to Ishtar's demand, insisting that the Bull of Heaven is so destructive that its release would result in seven years of famine. Ishtar declares that she has stored up enough grain for all people and all animals for the next seven years. Eventually, Anu reluctantly agrees to give it to Ishtar, whereupon she unleashes it on the world, causing mass destruction.
The Bull's first breath blows a hole in the ground that one hundred men fall into and its second breath creates another hole, trapping two hundred more. Gilgamesh and Enkidu work together to slay the Bull… While Gilgamesh and Enkidu are resting, Ishtar stands up on the walls of Uruk and curses Gilgamesh. Enkidu tears off the Bull's right thigh and throws it at Ishtar's face. [a potential explanation for why the constellation of Taurus is missing its hind legs]
Ishtar calls together "the crimped courtesans, prostitutes and harlots" and orders them to mourn for the Bull of Heaven. Meanwhile, Gilgamesh holds a celebration over the Bull of Heaven's defeat. Tablet VII begins with Enkidu recounting a dream in which he saw Anu, Ea, and Shamash declare that either Gilgamesh or Enkidu must die as punishment for having slain the Bull of Heaven. They choose Enkidu, who soon grows sick, and dies after having a dream of the Underworld. Tablet VIII describes Gilgamesh's inconsolable grief over his friend's death and the details of Enkidu's funeral. Enkidu's death becomes the catalyst for Gilgamesh's fear of his own death, which is the focus of the remaining portion of the epic.” (Wikipedia)
“…In the second half of the epic, distress over Enkidu's death causes Gilgamesh to undertake a long and perilous journey to discover the secret of eternal life. He eventually learns that "Life, which you look for, you will never find. For when the gods created man, they let death be his share, and life withheld in their own hands".” (Wikipedia)
(Is it just me, or is this a weird posture and position for killing a bull?)
The Epic of Gilgamesh created a foundational template for the development of other gods, goddesses and myths in many other regions that came in contact with the epic poem.
Although she was considered a goddess of war (and love), Inanna/Ishtar is perceived to be an earlier version of the goddess Aphrodite (to the Greeks) and the goddess Venus (to the Romans).
Inanna/Ishtar was also directly associated with the planet that we now refer to as Venus.
Many astrologers (and astronomers) interpret the famous Inanna myth, describing her descent and eventual return from the Underworld, to be a symbolic reflection of Venus’ disappearance from the sky during her retrograde and when she is traveling on the other side of the Sun - and her eventual reappearance.
Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus and therefore the story of Inanna/Ishtar and the Bull of Heaven seems to be a reflection of both the sign and its ruling planet.
A few relevant themes in this tale that jump out for me include:
sexual desire;
someone who doesn’t get what they want;
seeking revenge;
destruction of the Earth potentially leading to scarce resources;
saving and storing resources for times of scarcity/famine;
the struggle to contain and control the power of the sacred and subdue it;
grieving and coming to terms with mortality, death and loss.
As I read through pieces of the Epic of Gilgamesh, the polarity of both Taurus and Scorpio seemed to echo throughout.
Taurus is a sign associated with sensual pleasure, desire, abundant resources, food, Earth itself, luxurious comforts, trust in stable and secure enduring foundations, and the strength and determination of living creatures to persist and sustain their life force (as if immortal).
Scorpio is the sign opposite to Taurus and relates more to the unseen, mysterious elements underlying Taurus’ above-ground themes - the emotional and energetics of sex, relational bonds and financial entanglements; the hidden secrets and taboos beneath the perfect image; the experience of pain never being far from pleasure; the sacrifices we must make to fulfill our desires; the constant threat of scarcity held in the unknown future; the risk of betrayal; the rot and decay that is the fate of all food, all abundance, all living creatures; and the inevitability of surrendering to death and loss - as well as the magic of regeneration.
The polarity of Taurus and Scorpio is the most powerful axis in the zodiacal wheel.
And you can’t have one without the other.
As I say with all zodiacal polarities, you go far enough into one sign and you’ll encounter its opposite.
Zodiacal polarities are like different expressions of the same essence and they contain within them, the seed of the other.
You go deep enough into the abundance and contentment of Taurus and you’ll eventually encounter the fear of scarcity, as well as the decay, death and loss that is found in Scorpio’s domain.
This works in both directions - go deep enough into the decay, death and loss of Scorpio and you’ll eventually find the compost that supports the creation of new life and regeneration.
Can you hear both Taurus and Scorpio themes in the story of the Bull of Heaven in the Epic of Gilgamesh?
Interestingly, although Inanna/Ishtar (Venus) is the immortal protagonist in this story as the Queen of the Heavens in conflict with mortals confronting their own deaths, in the The Descent of Inanna tale that I referenced, she is gradually stripped of all her royal adornments and clothing (reflections of Taurus) until she is standing before her sister Ereshkigal, Queen of the Dead, completely naked.
Ereshkigal then kills Inanna and hangs her corpse on a hook on the wall like “a piece of rotting meat” for three days until she is rescued and resurrected (source).
Not even immortal Inanna can escape the Scorpionic processes of loss, death and decay. Taurus eventually gives way to Scorpio.
As I read through the multiple Greek myths that feature sacred bulls, I continued to be struck by how strongly both sides of the Taurus-Scorpio axis came through symbolically.
The most well-known bull stories in Greek mythology begin with Zeus disguising himself as a beautiful white bull to abduct the Phoenician princess named Europa while she is in the field picking flowers.
Europa becomes intrigued with the bull’s beauty and gentleness. Zeus, as the white bull, then swims the Mediterranean Sea with Europa on his back to the island of Crete, intending for her to live there as his lover.
Much later, one of Europa and Zeus’ children, Minos, receives the gift of an impressive white bull from the sea god Poseidon, in order to help secure and validate his right to the throne. The bull is referred to as “the Cretan Bull” - who is not Zeus, but weirdly similar to the creature his father became in order to abduct his mother.
Because Minos did not sacrifice the bull to Poseidon as promised, Poseidon causes Minos’ wife Pasiphaë to fall in love with the Cretan Bull.
Pasiphaë figures out how to mate with the Cretan Bull by climbing inside a hollow wooden cow...
…and then becomes pregnant and gives birth to the Minotaur; a half-bull, half-human monster who is kept in a labyrinth and fed children from Athens for many years.
Meanwhile, King Eurysthesus of Tiryns sends Heracles on a mission to capture the Cretan Bull and bring it back to him as one of the twelve challenges Heracles is assigned.
Minos is more than happy for Heracles to take the Cretan Bull since it is trampling the fields and orchards.
When the Cretan Bull is delivered to King Eurysthesus however, he is so afraid of it that he hides. Eventually he lets it loose and the Cretan Bull travels to Marathon, becoming the Marathonian Bull in the process.
Finally a dude named Theseus manages to subdue the Bull and sacrifice it to the gods.
Theseus then goes on to fight and kill the Minotaur, the offspring of the Cretan/Marathonian Bull, using a ball of thread to navigate inside the Labyrinth so as to not get permanently lost inside of it.
Whew!
And that’s the short version.
The repeated connection in these Greek myths, between bulls and Crete, is reflected in the Minoan culture and art which flourished on the island.
Matt Davis writes that “the Minoans were bona fide bull fanatics.”
Jeremy Mcinerney, for Expedition Magazine, also notes that “in cretan culture, the bull is everywhere… In every medium imaginable, from gold rings to terracotta figurines, from stone seals to frescoes in relief, the image of the bull permeates the Minoan world.”
If you’ve visited Crete, were the depictions of bulls a constant on the island? Did you feel immersed in the land of Taurus while you were there?
Mcinerney goes on to comment that there is “a deep-rooted tension between the wildness of the bull and the need to master it,” which is reflected in frequent depictions of Minoans engaging in “bull-leaping” (source).
As with the Bull of Heaven story, in the Greek myths there is often a struggle to control and contain the power of the sacred (bull), and subdue or destroy it.
The Bull of Heaven, Zeus as a white bull, and the Cretan Bull (perhaps even the Minotaur), were impressive and divine creatures, capable of invoking awe and respect - and sometimes even adoration and lust.
For example, it was the power of the Cretan Bull, emerging from the sea, that was used to confirm Minos’ right to the throne. Minos did not sacrifice the Cretan Bull to Poseidon because he was so impressed with the bull’s virility, strength and beauty.
At the same time, these divine bulls were wild with their power, destroying food sources, killing humans, and abducting a princess. And thus they were also deeply feared.
As I continued to reflect on these stories through the lens of Taurus, I thought about how Taurus is the sign most associated with desire.
If the zodiac wheel were to outline developmental milestones, then the “Taurus phase” in a baby’s growth would indicate when they began reaching for things - the baby sees something it desires, and it reaches out to grab hold of it.
I took the Mcinerney quote above and replaced “the bull” in the sentence with “our desire,” and here’s how it reads:
“a deep-rooted tension between the wildness of [our desire] and the need to master it.”
When I reworked the myths with the bull as a symbol of desire itself, the following questions emerged:
Are our desires sometimes so big, so beautiful, so wild, that they scare us?
Are we so intimidated by the overpowering impulse of desire that we try to trap and contain it in the dark recesses of our psyches, building a labyrinth around our deepest desires so that they will never be discovered?
Are we fearful that fulfilling our desires may produce something monstrous (like the Minotaur) and cause harm if we are possessed by them as Queen Pasiphaë was (and also Zeus)?
Pasiphaë initially cared for her half-bull half-human offspring until it became so ferocious that it was contained within the Labyrinth that was built for it.
The wild Minotaur could not be domesticated.
In an ancient play about the mythic drama, Pasiphaë defends herself to her husband Minos:
But this was no act of the will; I am suffering from some madness brought on by a god. (source)
These desire-fears, as related to power and control, are present across the Taurus-Scorpio polarity.
As with centaurs (half-human, half-horse creatures), which are depicted in the constellation of Sagittarius, mythical hybrid creatures like the Minotaur highlight the ongoing tension between humanity’s primal wild instincts and desires, and the capacity of our brains to use reason and restraint.
Interestingly, Dionysus, the Greek god of pleasure and ecstasy, was also strongly associated with bulls.
The Minotaur was sustained by human flesh.
Athens regularly sent youth to be sacrificed in the Labyrinth in Crete to satiate the Minotaur’s hunger until Theseus brought an end to him.
Just as youth were sacrificed to the Minotaur to appease it, when our wild instincts and deepest desires are imprisoned in the center of our psyches’ labyrinths, they become hungry Scorpionic shadow material, a nexus of shame that must be fed via sacrifices of our life force energy.
But is the alternative then, that we let the bulls of our desires loose in the world and they run around threatening others, destroying the Earth’s abundance, its fields and its orchards - exploiting natural resources in the same way that neoliberal capitalism has?
In the Bull of Heaven story we saw someone (Inanna) who did not get what they wanted; their desire was unfulfilled and they sought revenge as a result.
In the Greek myths about the Cretan Bull, Minos, Pasiphaë, and King Eurysthesus all got what they wanted (initially), but Minos tried to hang on to it for too long, Pasiphaë got more than she wanted, and King Eurysthesus was so terrified by the fulfillment of his desire that he sent it away.
I came across another Greek/Roman myth associated with the sign and constellation of Taurus that presents another way forward with desire: the myth of Persephone and Cerus the bull.
To be honest, I didn’t find many solid source references for it, and the internet is such a mess of AI-generated websites and pages these days that I often find myself unsure of the validity of what I’m reading, but even if AI-generated, I still find it a helpful story to include!
Mike Belmont, who runs the site Gods and Monsters and seems to be a human, writes:
“According to this myth, the mythology of Taurus begins with a wandering bull known as Cerus. Cerus was a large and powerful bull who villagers were terrified of because of his tendency to trample their villages to pieces on a whim. He was owned by no one, and none of the farmers knew where he came from. Though he was not immortal, most people assumed him to be because of his sheer size and strength and the fact that despite all of the destruction he caused nobody was ever able to stop him.
The bull is wild and out of control, choosing to follow his emotions on a whim. One day the Spring goddess Persephone finds him trampling through a field of recently-bloomed flowers and goes to him. Though he cannot speak, he seems to understand her and her presence calms her. They form a bond together, and the bull learns to behave himself. Persephone teaches the bull patience and how to use his strength wisely.
In fact, every year in the spring when Persephone returns to the land, Cerus returns to the land to join her. She sits upon his back and he runs her through the fields, allowing her to set all of the plants in bloom as they ride by. In the fall when Persephone returns to Hades, Cerus returns to the sky as the Taurus constellation.” ~ Mike Belmont
Cerus is the male version of the Latin name “Ceres,” which is the name of Persephone’s mother according to the Romans (the counterpart to the Greek Demeter) (source).
Of course this is the same Persephone who was also abducted by Hades/Pluto, crowned Queen of the Underworld, and then ate the pomegranate seeds… which led to an arrangement where Persephone spends the summer months above ground with Ceres her mother, and the winter months with her husband below ground - a strong reflection of the Taurus-Scorpio polarity.
Like Persephone teaching the bull patience and how to use his strength wisely in order to nourish and give back to the Earth, our bull-like desires can also be taught patience and how to seek fulfillment without causing destruction and harm!
The raw power of our desires can be wisely channeled, rather than controlled and repressed.
The last mythical bull creature I want to discuss through the lens of Taurus, is a more modern one - the Charging Bull of Wall Street; a 3 ½ ton, 11 foot tall and 16 foot long bronze statue that has become a tourist attraction and a symbol of financial optimism and prosperity in the Financial District of Manhattan in New York city (source).
On Monday, October 19, 1987, there was a major stock market crash with worldwide losses estimated at US $1.71 trillion.
Arturo Di Modica, an Italian sculptor and American immigrant, “recounted that he felt indebted to the U.S. for welcoming him and enabling his success” (source). The stock market crash of 1987 inspired the Charging Bull sculpture that Di Modica gifted to New York, as a way of repaying the U.S. for all it had offered him.
“Di Modica's original concept was to inspire each person who came into contact with the sculpture to carry on fighting with strength and determination through the hard times for the future:
“My point was to show people that if you want to do something in a moment things are very bad, you can do it. You can do it by yourself. My point was that you must be strong.”” (Wikipedia)
You can hear the Taurus-like determination, strength and persistence coming through.
And of course a “Bull Market” is phrase used to describe financial markets at their strongest and most optimistic; when asset prices are rising.
Di Modica financed the bronze bull sculpture himself, investing $350,000 into the process of creation over the next two years.
Then, before dawn on December 15, 1989, Di Modica seized his opportunity - a four minute opening in between police patrols. He and his friends quickly dropped the 7,100 pound statue under a 40 foot Christmas tree that had been erected on Wall Street.
The sudden appearance of the Charging Bull on Wall Street, made news around the world.
The New York Stock Exchange initially tried to get the sculpture removed, but public demand brought the bull back. It was then permanently installed at Bowling Green on December 20, 1989.
Perhaps the Charging Bull of Wall Street has created more “bona fide bull fanatics,” like the Minoans.
In 1993, Henry J. Stern, a city parks commissioner, is quoted as saying: "People are crazy about the bull. It captured their imagination.”
Visitors are encouraged to rub the bull’s nose, horns, and testicles for good luck. Thanks to frequent rubbing, the scrotum of the Charging Bull is now noticeably lighter than the rest of the sculpture (source).
The big bronze sculpture is not without its critics, however.
For example, in 2011, the “Occupy Wall Street protests used the bull as a symbolic figure around which to direct their critiques of corporate greed” (source).
Before moving to Zuccotti Park, the very first protest of Occupy Wall Street actually gathered around the Charging Bull on September 17, 2011.
And guess who was in Taurus on September 17, 2011?
Jupiter was in Taurus (with the Moon), as it is now!
Rightfully so, the long-term transformative and liberating Uranus-Pluto square of that time period is usually referred to as the most dominant transit at play with the Occupy movement, but Jupiter in Taurus also played a role.
The OWS rallying cry “We are the 99%,” called for a more fair distribution of Jupiter-in-Taurus abundance, and criticized the corruption and manipulation of politics that occurs within the financial sector among the “1%” with significantly greater money-power (a Scorpio-like theme) (source).
And guess who has both Jupiter and Uranus (and Saturn) in his birth chart?
Arturo Di Modica!
Ahhh… few things compare to the satisfaction of having an astrological guess be true! I knew he must have some strong Taurus placements to be so well-known for his Charging Bull sculpture…
Di Modica died on February 19, 2021 at age 80, but his birth chart is currently experiencing its Uranus return. In fact, the recent Jupiter-Uranus conjunction that perfected on the weekend of April 20th, 2024, happened within a degree of his natal Uranus placement.
The last time Jupiter and Uranus conjoined in the sign of Taurus specifically, was May 8, 1941 at 25 degrees, just a few months after Arturo Di Modica was born on January 26, 1941 in Sicily. Thus Di Modica’s birth chart carries both Jupiter and Uranus in the sign of Taurus as they were building toward their conjunction.
There’s a Uranus-Jupiter-in-Taurus signature allll over Di Modica’s Charging of the Bull creation and presentation as he manifested his natal promise. The surprise “drop off” of a 3.5 ton bronze sculpture on Wall Street in the early morning during the 4 minutes between police patrols, is certainly very Uranian!
Jupiter is clearly present too, as a symbol of great generosity, gift-giving, and as a signifier of hope and optimism.
Uranus is also the planet of breakthroughs, liberation, sudden change, and of uprisings.
While the Occupy Wall Street movement may have interpreted the Charging Bull as a symbol of corporate greed, the truth is, that the symbol of the bull is as much theirs, as it is the one percent’s.
Now that you’ve read about the Bull of Heaven, the Cretan Bull, the Minotaur, Cerus the Bull, and the Charging Bull of Wall Street, what are you noticing about your reaction and response to these Taurean symbols and stories?
Are you getting any new insights about your personal relationship to the sign of Taurus and how you may tend to respond when the sign of the bull is activated in the sky?
As a Taurean exercise and experiment, imagine trying on all three positions depicted in the six of pentacles tarot card…
Which one feels the most comfortable for you?
Which position feels the least comfortable?
Zodiacal energies and archetypes express in particular ways within certain contexts.
Taurus feels and looks differently on a stock market trading floor for example, compared to how it may emerge during a refreshing Spring walk in the woods on a sunny day, or what it might taste like as you put the first spoonful of delicious ice cream into your mouth.
But it’s the same Taurus; just different facets of the sign interacting with different contexts.
I’ve been wondering… how might Taurus express differently in a cultural environment that had established a foundation of security and trust, versus one of scarcity and competition?
And, what would courageous desire look like in a world of abundance, guided by integrity?
Oftentimes when I’ve described Taurus I’ve focused on the sign’s association with the physical body and the senses, with beauty and art, and with the natural world and the Plant Kingdom.
So far in this post, however, I’ve centered the powerful (and sometimes aggressive and wild) desire-energy of Taurus, and its associations with money and wealth.
This cannot be ignored.
Taurus relates to abundance in all its forms, but time and time again people with strong placements across the Taurus-Scorpio axis will find themselves on a journey where their relationship to money becomes the most impactful catalyst of transformation in their life.
Don’t underestimate Money’s potential to be one of your most powerful teachers and healers - especially when we have Jupiter in Taurus (with Uranus) in addition to so many other important activations and transits in Taurus on their way throughout April and May.
Specific guidance for each activation of Big Bull Energy in April - May:
The best way to use this section is to read what is most immediately relevant and then to return to this post as time progresses to prepare for the next Taurus activation!
I’ve grouped these activations into seven clusters:
April 20, 2024: Jupiter and Uranus conjoin at 21° Taurus
Sun enters Taurus on April 19, squares Pluto in Aquarius on April 21, then opposes the Full Moon at 4° Scorpio on April 23, 2024 (together they both square Pluto creating a fixed sign T-square)
On May 1, Venus in Taurus squares Pluto in Aquarius, then on May 17, 2024, Mercury in Taurus squares Pluto in Aquarius (both repeating the recent full moon configuration to Pluto)
New Moon at 18° Taurus on May 8, 2024 (conjunct Uranus at 22° Taurus and Jupiter at 25° Taurus, sextile Saturn at 17° Pisces, ruled by Venus in Taurus)
Sun conjoins Uranus in Taurus on May 13, and then conjoins Jupiter on May 18, 2024
Venus conjoins Uranus in Taurus on May 18, and then conjoins Jupiter on May 23, 2024
Mercury conjoins Uranus in Taurus on May 31, 2024 (while disposited by Venus in Gemini)
This much-anticipated conjunction, one of the stand-out aspects of 2024, has already occurred at the time of this writing. The conjunction was exact on April 20, 2024.
However, as of April 27th this slow-moving duo is still within a single degree of each other. Jupiter is beginning to pull away from the slower-moving Uranus, but as we head into May, the Sun, Moon, and Venus will catch up with both planets in Taurus and reactivate their moment of seeding.
In case the events around the conjunction day weren’t loud enough to be noticed on their own, these upcoming conjunctions with faster planets may make the central message of Jupiter and Uranus more obvious.
When considering what the impacts of a slow moving outer-planet will be on a personal level, I find it is helpful to first reflect on the natal template, the natal promise.
Put aside the current sky for a moment and consider: how do I relate to the themes and life domains represented by the house that contains Taurus in my natal chart?
Most astrology apps should be able to tell you what house is associated with Taurus in your natal chart, and it’s easy to find lists of themes for each of the houses online (like this one, or this one).
So for example, because Taurus is in my 10th house, I could begin this interpretive process by asking: How do I relate to, and experience, my career, vocation, professional goals, social status, and public image?
In some way or another, you may have noticed Taurus-like traits expressing in this area of life such as: perhaps moving at a slower speed (especially prior to 2018), long-lasting, determination, patience, reliability, persistence, stability and security seeking, predictable, an appreciation for the familiar and consistent, risk-averse, grounded, abundant, practical.
Perhaps you noticed symbolic resonance between the bull-related myths and stories described in the previous section, and the house in your chart that contains Taurus.
Of course, since your experience of this area of life will be unique, you may find yourself frustrated by the Taurus-type traits present in that area of life - wishing perhaps, that life would move at a faster pace in that domain, or perhaps longing for a type of stability and security in that area of life that you don’t yet have, or feeling like that house’s demands for determination and persistence are exhausting.
You can add further nuance by considering your natal Venus placement (the ruler of Taurus) by house, sign and aspect.
Venus’ position in your chart will have a big influence on how you experience your Taurus area of life. If Venus is in a fast-moving sign like Aries, for example, you may find yourself frequently very impatient and frustrated with how events in your Taurus house seem to move so slowly. You may also find yourself initiating and taking more risks in your Taurus domain than would be expected for a sign that is usually quite averse to risk.
The house topics relevant to Venus’ placement will co-mingle with the house topics related to Taurus - I like to think of them being drawn into, or directed by, Venus’ house. So for example, if Taurus was in your 10th house of career, and Venus was located in your third house of communication (among other things), it is likely that your career trajectory could involve a lot of communication, especially in forms that were beautiful and artistic (like via songwriting).
Of course how we relate to the Taurus part of our chart/life will have changed significantly over time as the sign has experienced various transits.
Since Uranus first entered Taurus initially from May 15, 2018 to Nov 6, 2018, and then for the long-haul from March 6, 2019 to July 7, 2025, we’ve been experiencing huge shake-ups in our Taurus area of life.
Although I would say that Uranus and Taurus can both be stubborn and persistent, they are otherwise incredibly different archetypes and energies.
Uranus is erratic, spontaneous, radical, experimental, freedom-seeking, liberating, rebellious, and thrives on risk.
Consequently, your Taurus house has been deeply challenged over the past six years, at a deep foundational level, to grow and change.
Are you resisting? Or are you rebuilding anew?
Then the North Node entered Taurus (Jan 18, 2022 - July 17, 2023), causing eclipses to happen in that sign on November 19, 2021, April 30, 2022, November 8, 2022, and October 28, 2023. For just over two years, in addition to Uranus working on uprooting us in Taurus land, we had another type of growth hormone injected in this area of life.
Finally Jupiter entered Taurus on May 16th, 2023 where it will be until May 25, 2024 when it enters the sign of Gemini.
Jupiter is slightly more orderly than Uranus, but both planets tend to express themselves as bold and visionary, forward-looking and full of hope for the future, usually with a strong orientation toward the broader community/ society/ world.
Jupiter invites us to dream big. Jupiter (enthusiastically) says:
“The world is your oyster. There is so much to discover, taste and enjoy! Seek new horizons! Travel! Explore the world! Have peak experiences! Expand your mind! Learn and study and then share what you know! Seek out spiritual wisdom and connect with the divine! Meet lots of people and make new friends! Life is a party!”
Nothing in astrology acts alone, in isolation. Everything is part of a larger configuration, a larger and longer story that reaches back and forwards through time.
The Uranus-Jupiter conjunction on April 20th, 2024, was a really significant seeding, an important new beginning that is contextualized by all the transits that came before it.
When you survey the Taurean landscape of your life, tracking the changes that have occurred in this area since ~May 15, 2018 with Uranus, then with the North Node Eclipses, and finally via Jupiter most recently beginning around May 2023, what do you notice? Where are you currently at with your Taurus house?
Together, Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus are here to:
Liberate desire
Transform ideas of “ownership”
Challenge possessiveness and jealousy with freedom and generosity
Create a bold shift in what we value
HAVE A GOOD TIME
Make our Taurus area of life more visible, more public, more daring
Catalyze radical, innovative changes and opportunities in the key Taurus domains of money, food, nature, physical bodies and the senses, the plant and animal kingdoms, sensual pleasure, art and aesthetics
Conjunctions of Jupiter and Uranus - which occur about every 14 years either once or in “sets of three”- are expressed through the nature of the sign where the conjunction happens.
The conjunction at 0 degrees of Aries, on June 8, 2010, for example, seemed to really capitalize on the spontaneous nature of both planets in a fiery sign that is also known for being spontaneous and moving quickly. The way I experienced that transit was like a lightning bolt in true Uranian fashion - it was rather dramatic and deeply memorable.
The next conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus was at 28 degrees of Pisces on September 18, 2010. Appropriately, I remember I began therapy for the first time and there was a lot of crying happening.
Jupiter and Uranus conjoining in the fixed earth sign of Taurus may be more subdued and subtle than if they were meeting in a fire sign, but you should be able to locate this area of new beginnings nevertheless - and observe the re-activations as the two planets are greeted sequentially by the Moon, Sun and Venus in the coming month.
In my own life, with Jupiter and Uranus conjoining in my 10th house of career and public image, I accepted a job offer that will involve being more public about my practice of astrology - something my cautious Taurean 10th house has previously resisted. (side note - Uranus is the planet that is typically most associated with the practice of astrology)
We can practice leaning into the gifts of this Jupiter-Uranus conjunction by asking ourselves:
There has been so much growth and change occurring in the life areas indicated by my Taurus house since the Spring of 2018; how can I work with the current momentum and opportunity of this Jupiter-Uranus transit to build on everything I’ve learned from my Uranian experiments in Taurus over the past 6 years and launch something solid, cohesive, beautiful, innovative, visionary and long-lasting?
What are my foundational values, especially as related to Taurus-themes and topics related to my Taurus-house? How have they changed? How do they now guide and direct my actions?
How can I be more courageous with the pursuit of my desires as I seek to make some radical shifts in my life? What desires need to be un-shamed and returned to their wild, natural state? What desires need more clarity and guidance? What desires need to be taught patience and restraint?
Symbolically resonant activities:
This set of three exercises will assist you with directing energy and attention to the domain of Taurus, thereby helping to loosen and warm up the soil where Jupiter and Uranus are trying to grow something in your life.
It will also help you identify any blocks that exist in this area of life that may be inhibiting the abundance that Jupiter and Uranus want to bring.
Try slowly reaching out your arm and hand to grab hold of an object you love and value, and (slowly) bring it close to you.
This is Taurus in action.
Try to stay with the big and subtle sensations this action invokes and follow the sensations through your body.
What comes up for you? What do you notice in your body as you do this?
What experiences have you had in your early childhood or adult years where that reaching hand was pushed away or rebuked? Or maybe you reached for something you thought you wanted, and yet it did not fulfill or satiate you. How did you respond?
How do those experiences influence the way you currently extend your hand to reach and grab hold of what you desire?
Now try extending your hand, palm up, ready to receive. If there’s someone nearby who is willing to participate, you can ask them to slowly put a desired object in your outstretched hand.
Try to stay with the big and subtle sensations this action invokes and follow the sensations through your body.
What comes up for you? What do you notice in your body as you do this?
What experiences have you had in your early childhood or adult years where you put out your hand to receive something and yet your hand remained empty and ignored - or what was placed in your hand was not what you really wanted? Or maybe you felt obligated to put out your hand to receive by necessity or due to another’s expectation. How did you respond?
How do those experiences inform the way you now extend your hand to receive?
Finally, the third exercise requires two people. You are the giver in this situation. You are holding an object the other person desires. Slowly you extend the object to the other person, and slowly, they receive your gift.
Try to stay with the big and subtle sensations this action invokes and follow the sensations through your body.
What comes up for you? What do you notice in your body as you do this?
What experiences have you had in your early childhood or adult years where you attempted to give someone a gift, to offer a loved one an object you thought they would love - and yet your offer was rejected or discarded? Or, if this was also an object that was desirable to you, perhaps you felt pressured to give it away to someone else. How did you respond?
How do those experiences inform the way you now extend your hand to offer something of value to others?
If this movement and sensation-focused activity appealed to you, you may also appreciate a post I published in June of 2023, shortly after Jupiter began its 12-month journey in Taurus:
These are all transits that have already occurred in the past week, but they are worth drawing attention to for their role in this ongoing Taurus story.
The Sun entered Taurus on April 19, 2024, thus launching “Taurus Season.” It is noteworthy that the Sun entered Taurus just before the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction happened on April 20, 2024.
The Sun is here to shine a light on this important new beginning. The Sun is in Taurus to warm up and enliven that new Jupiter-Uranus seedling!
The Sun immediately started applying to a square with Pluto, god of the underworld, which perfected on April 21, 2024. This may have colored our initial experience of the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction which occurred the day prior.
Then the Moon reached its 180 degree opposition to the Sun, landing at its “full moon phase” in the sign of Scorpio two days later on April 23, 2024. At this point the Sun had only separated two degrees from its square to Pluto in Aquarius, so this full moon configuration lengthened the Pluto influence as both the Sun and Moon continued to aspect Pluto in what is called a three-point T-square formation.
This full moon was the first lunation to follow our two eclipses, and it was also the culminating point of the 28-day lunation cycle that began with the dramatic solar eclipse new moon on April 8, 2024 in Aries.
This full moon in Scorpio thus held tremendous power and intense energy.
Through its square to Pluto, it also may have reconnected us with our Pluto in Aquarius story and provoked a reminder of what ongoing work is beginning there (see my earlier post on Pluto in Aquarius for more).
You may have felt more in touch with your own personal power at this time. Conversely (or simultaneously), you may have also tapped into some overwhelming fear that at any moment all could be lost.
A Scorpio Full Moon, like the one on April 23rd, also gives us greater access to that which is unseen - our own shadow material, hidden or lost objects, and even spirits.
This is a time when you want to look beyond and beneath the surface-level symptoms to confront what may be rotting at the root.
With the Sun in Taurus and the Moon opposite it in Scorpio, this Full Moon brought the Taurus-Scorpio polarity to the forefront.
As I wrote earlier…
You go deep enough into the abundance and contentment of Taurus and you’ll likely encounter the fear of scarcity, as well as the decay, death and loss that is found in Scorpio’s domain.
This works in both directions - go deep enough into the decay, death and loss of Scorpio and you’ll eventually find the compost that supports the creation of new life and regeneration.
Scorpio lunations are often emotionally intense - but they can also be obscure and not what they “seem to be about” initially. Did you discern your secret Scorpio message by following the trail of emotional clues beneath ground where the buried symbolic material lay waiting for you?
Venus and Mercury are trailing behind the Sun at this point. On May 1st and May 17th, they each repeat the square to Pluto in Aquarius that the Sun in Taurus made earlier on April 21st.
I decided to include these two aspects as well, even though the emphasis may feel more centered around the Pluto in Aquarius story - which we were powerfully introduced to last February as multiple inner planets (including Venus and Mercury) made direct conjunctions with Pluto.
What emerged in February 2024 for you?
These upcoming squares between Pluto and Venus + Mercury in Taurus may connect back with what began in February. For a refresher on that time period and the themes that may have surfaced, I encourage you to check out my previous post:
On February 17, 2024, Venus in Taurus conjoined with Pluto in Aquarius for the first time. For this transit I wrote:
When the Roman goddess, who is also known as Aphrodite to the Greeks, meets with the Lord of the Underworld, we may encounter the dark underbelly of all things related to love, beauty, attraction, and money. Whereas Venus likes to play with aesthetics and surface level appearances, Pluto goes deep into areas such as taboos, danger, loss and grief, guilt and shame.
Venus is now in her full power in her home domain of Taurus. From this new position, she confronts Pluto in a challenging aspect on May 1, 2024, potentially offering a healing balm through social connection, herbs, nature therapy or somatic work (for example) as Pluto’s underground issues surface.
On February 5, 2024, Mercury conjoined with Pluto in Aquarius. At that time I wrote:
When Mercury has an encounter with the Lord of the Underworld in Aquarius, we may receive Plutonian clues through our thought processes, through our conversations, and through what we are learning.
Mercury and Pluto combinations at their most challenging can show up as obsessive ruminations, dark and dangerous thoughts, nightmares, mental paranoia, and information or conversations that feel threatening on some level.
With Mercury now in earthy Taurus, its confrontation with Pluto in Aquarius on May 17, 2024, may highlight a tangible block or serious issue on a practical and physical level that must be addressed in order to pursue a larger vision or dream.
Squares like these, that involve both the sign of Taurus and the sign of Aquarius, may present a creative challenge that asks you to unite earth-based project-building, resources, and materials with air-based concepts, ideas, and knowledge.
The outcomes of this creative tension may result in greater abundance for your community or society generally - once Pluto’s power dynamics or threatening content is addressed.
We can practice leaning into the gifts of these Taurus-Aquarius squares by asking ourselves:
What might be the cost of gripping tightly to comfort, safety and security in this situation - for myself and others? Is the cost worth it?
Is there something that lies just outside of my guaranteed comfort, safety and security that may be worth the risk of reaching for it?
Symbolically resonant activities:
Locate your Aquarius house with its corresponding themes. Identify your emergent Pluto in Aquarius story. Approach this area of life in an air-like way - e.g., reflect, discuss, and journal it out.
Now locate your Taurus house with its corresponding themes. Identify your emergent Jupiter and Uranus story. Approach this area of life in an earth-like way - e.g., make symbolic art, or act and dance it out with your body.
On May 1st and May 17th as Venus and then Mercury square Pluto, can you sense into the midpoint between these air and earth stories and how they may want to interact, combine, and express themselves through you in a new form?
This Taurean New Moon on May 8, 2024 looks like delicious fun! Lean into it!
The New Moon lands four degrees prior to Uranus in the zodiac wheel, and seven degrees prior to Jupiter. That’s certainly close enough to be influenced by the energy of the dynamic duo that is Uranus and Jupiter.
Soon after the New Moon perfects, on the same day, the Moon in Taurus will make direct conjunctions with both Uranus and Jupiter - so look for those too as the day continues if you track transits at the micro hourly level.
This New Moon looks so fresh and fertile. It’s another opportunity to plant more seeds, to take your next steps with what Jupiter-Uranus have initiated in your life - you have their blessing. There’s plenty of innovative brilliance, optimism and courage surrounding this abundant lunation.
Furthermore, Saturn offers this New Moon a stabilizing and strengthening sextile, balancing out the more erratic energies that Uranus can bring.
What do you truly value and DESIRE?
Reach for it.
We can practice leaning into the gifts of this New Moon in Taurus by asking ourselves:
If the Jupiter-Uranus seedlings of my new Taurus-house dreams are starting to sprout, what can I do to celebrate all my small (and big) wins and keep the momentum going? Can I set up a series of delicious rewards for each step forward I take throughout this lunation cycle to feed my motivation? (can be rewards of the food variety or anything else that delights the senses)
If my Taurus-house dreams have not yet emerged into visibility from the soil in which they were planted, what is the next, most doable, practical, micro-step forward that I can take? If this area of life is feeling overwhelming, it might be helpful to invoke Saturn’s influence on this lunation and create some SMART goals.
Symbolically resonant activities include:
Nothing is more symbolically resonant with a fresh Taurus new moon in the spring then planting seeds! If you don’t have access to a garden or the appropriate weather for growing outdoors, try planting something indoors near the window. Bury an intention or dream for the future along with the seed, water and nourish both, and watch that dream manifest as you observe the plant grow!
The Sun reawakens, re-energizes the opportunities of Jupiter and Uranus as it illuminates them.
The Sun interacts with Uranus in Taurus first, on May 13, 2024, sparking a personal revolution and the impulse to liberate yourself from your safety zone.
May 18th is extra special because as the Sun conjoins with Jupiter in Taurus, shining a light on a big opportunity and instilling confidence and optimism for the future, Venus meets up with Uranus on the same day, potentially blessing our relational sphere with excitement and spontaneous fun.
Solar transits highlight our path of personal development in the world. These transits will offer insight into how we are growing as individuals as we integrate the Jupiter-Uranus changes into our lives.
We can practice leaning into the gifts of the Sun conjoining with Uranus and Jupiter by asking ourselves:
How might my identity, self-perception, and internal stories need to be rewritten in order to fully step into the innovative expansion that wants to happen in the Taurus area of my life?
Jupiter-Uranus tend to be “public” about their activities - how am I “shining” my Jupiter-Uranus life-changes out in the world in a visible way?
Symbolically resonant activities include:
On either day (but especially May 13th) attend a public event that is body or earth-focused with an unusual or radical edge.
If May 18th (especially) happens to be a sunny day, soak up some vitamin D! Give yourself permission to relax in nature and offer gratitude and thanks to our solar center who keeps us all alive. Allow that energy and vitality to fill you up.
On either day, but especially May 13th, make it a priority to follow your instincts to whatever degree is possible or appropriate. Listen to your body and let it lead if you have the space and freedom to follow. If it says sleep, sleep. If it says eat, eat. If it says it wants to say hi to that stranger, say hi. If it says it wants to spin in circles for 5 minutes, well then, do that.
May 18th is a great day for launching something and if you have a public announcement to make, May 18th is a good choice. It’s also an ideal day to be intentional about encouraging others and being generous with your resources.
Venus is still trailing behind the Sun but gradually she’s gaining ground and catching up. Venus is the ruler or guardian of Taurus, so her conjunctions with Uranus and Jupiter are particularly meaningful - she is greeting the guests that have been residing in her own home.
On May 18th, Venus meets with the planet of spontaneous experiments and says, “Hey! I’m bored. How can I re-invent money, art, beauty and romance today?”
I must offer the warning that sometimes Venus and Uranus are so radical that they can be rather divisive when they work closely together. Venus’ nature is to harmonize with others while Uranus pursues independence, freedom and individuation at all costs. Therefore, their meeting can be exciting, but also jarring or even shocking sometimes, especially when expressing through the delicate realm of interpersonal relationships.
On May 23, Venus meets with the planet of luck, generosity, and success - right at the very edge of Taurus. The 29th degree. Oof, soon we will say goodbye to Jupiter in Taurus.
This day may feel edgy… as if there is something wonderful and magnificent we are trying to make happen under a deadline.
But if it comes through at its best, this conjunction could be glorious and dreamy. The duo in Taurus make a sextile to Neptune in Pisces as they conjoin, heightening the bliss.
Venus with Jupiter is THE transit of gifts and gift-giving, and Taurus as a sign, adores beautiful material things.
Together, Venus and Jupiter is the sparkling engagement ring at the moment of proposal, the big promotion at work, an extravagant birthday party, a surprising win at the casino, and an avalanche of presents.
I would also say that Venus and Jupiter together are excellent for networking. The people in your life have resources, skills and connections that can help you and your endeavors grow and flourish - and vice versa. In general, May 23rd is a great day to spend with loved ones.
We can practice leaning into the gifts of Venus conjoining with Uranus and Jupiter by asking ourselves:
Around May 18th, how can I practice being more flexible and playful in my Taurus domain, where I may tend to be overly-cautious and rigid? How can I have more FUN in this area of life?
How can I be open to receiving around May 23, 2024? What is trying to find its way to me? What internal barriers might I have erected against welcoming it into my life?
Symbolically resonant activities include:
Venus and Uranus in Taurus invite you to make some dramatic change to your appearance - dye your hair, wear something completely outside the norm, or get that tattoo or piercing you’ve been craving.
Play around with visual branding, whether or not you run your own business (especially around May 23, 2024). If you were to use a logo, particular images, or certain branding colors to represent your natal Taurus-house, what would they be and look like? If you decide to create them, how do these designs give you greater clarity on how this area of life wants to express in the world?
May 23, 2024 is an ideal moment to give back - if you have the resources to do so, make a sizable donation to a charity that aligns with your values.
Speedy Mercury has fallen far behind the Sun and Venus due to its recent retrograde in Aries, so unfortunately it won’t get to meet up with Jupiter in Taurus before it enters Gemini on May 25th, but it will get to tango with Uranus in Taurus on May 31st.
You’ll want to have a notebook or audio recorder nearby for this one. Mercury is the cosmic symbol for the mind, ideas, language, communication, and learning processes.
Mercury and Uranus together are mentally invigorating. Brilliant thoughts could strike at any moment, so we must be ready!
Set aside time for brainstorming. Make a bold statement. Say the weird thing that everyone else is probably thinking but don’t have the guts to say out loud.
Lean into opportunities to discuss or learn about topics pertaining to nature, plants, beauty, money, food, and sensuality (bonus points if there’s a weird or radical edge).
Also: take care of your nervous system and implement some grounding activities because this transit can create bodily tension and be quite anxiety-prone.
We can practice leaning into the gifts of Mercury conjoining with Uranus by asking ourselves:
How can I change something in the material realm to facilitate greater mental flow, sharpness and creativity? Do I need funky pens? Eye-catching notebooks? More inspiring environments? Interesting music?
Symbolically resonant activities include:
Unfiltered stream of consciousness writing for a set time (at minimum) is a great activity for this transit! Read it over afterward and collect the brilliant ideas, thoughts and insights.
Whew! I made it. And maybe you did too. To the end of this post, I mean.
Enjoy the month of May!
If you learned something new about Taurus through this post, I’d love to hear about it.
